Long time ago when Oluf Lorenzen founded the “Friesenhof Oluf” the village Wrixum was one of the best adresses for “world-experienced” captains on the island Föhr.

Captain Lorenzen knew the whole world. Already at the age of 18 years he became a sailor. During his long life he lived two lives. One as a sailor hunting whales and one as a farmer on the island Föhr.

Some years ago we, two German families, bought a “small part” of his farm, called Friesenhof Oluf. With a lot of ideas, fresh colour and many “extras” we created a “second home” for you. The beach and the small town Wyk are accessible by walking within 15 minutes, a bakery, some shops and restaurants in 5 minutes. Our comfortable sauna in the old horse stable and the playground in the garden are free for our guests.

Föhr is the ideal island for children. It’s a paradise for “adventures and  explorers”.

But Föhr is also a paradise for adults: 7 km of North Sea coastare between you and your stressful life. Enjoy lonely beaches, friendly “Föhringer”, small shops and good restaurants with typical “friesisch” cooking!

Our two appartments “Ose” and “Krassen” (these are typical regional names) are ideal for a familiy with 2 children. Both  have two bedrooms, “Ose” is 65 m2, “Krassen” 80 m2. Our guests can use their own terrace in the old appleyard.
